  18. Tips for a Successful Grant – provided by West Springfield Rotary Club  1. Connect with the District 7610 Staff - Global Grants Chair (Andrew Wade) and the District Governor (Janet Brown) -- ensure there is District funding (DDF) available for your project.  2. Rotary International staff are also very helpful.  3. Get a firm commitment from partner clubs - a signed MOU on their contribution and what you will do with them.  4. Clubs from other Districts can be helpful – but you will need to have their District approve your grant application too before RI will begin the review process.  5. Avoid July if you can. Key leaders change with the new Rotary year and this creates delay.  6. The RI application cannot move forward until your revenues and expenses match exactly. 10 WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR GLOBAL GRANT APPLICATION | 18
