  1. DAVIS COUNTY PRETRIAL SERVICES STANDING COMMITTEE MEETING ON PRETRIAL RELEASE & SUPERVISION MAY 2, 2019

  2. PROGRAM OVERVIEW • Pretrial Services is an emerging program in Davis County government resulting from statewide pretrial reform efforts. The program is being developed in order to provide an alternative to incarceration for defendants awaiting trial. • The purpose of Pretrial Services is to assist in securing non-financial jail release for defendants pending court and the monitoring of least restrictive supervision conditions aimed at court appearance and no new criminal activity during the pretrial phase.

  3. MISSION STATEMENT Our mission is to provide the court with impartial recommendations prompting a non-monetary alternative to detention. We strive to provide individualized supervision thus reasonably ensuring court appearance and reducing the likelihood of re-arrest while awaiting trial.

  4. PRETRIAL TEAM • The program is comprised of one Program Coordinator and two Case Managers. The office is located inside the Layton Second District Courthouse and occupies a space with six offices. • The address is: 425 Wasatch Drive, Suite 200 Layton, Utah 84041
