  1. Date: 29 May 2013 Maserati Trofeo World Series - Nuerburgring(Ger) - Presentation of Round 2 The Maserati Trofeo at Nuerburgring The second round in the Maserati Trofeo MC World Series will be held at the Nuerburgring circuit, Germany, this weekend. The season’s opening race took place at Paul Ricard, in France, where reigning champion Renaud Kuppens came away with a hefty two wins and a second place. Germany will see 24 Maserati GranTurismo MC Trofeos line up on the grid as drivers who competed in France come back for more action. Kuppens knows he has his challengers and the pack is keen to pick up precious championship points, especially Danish driver Mikkel Mac. The young Dane leads the Pirelli Drivers Cup and was a surprise package last time out: making his series debut, Mac claimed the 50-minute endurance event. Also looking to put in a solid performance will be Giuseppe Fascicolo, and his new team-mate Andrea Cecchellero, after they didn’t do so well at Paul Ricard. The same goes for the Ragazzi- Simoni duo, who failed to complete Race 3 in the first round while home drivers Andreas Segler and Thomas Herpell will be all fired up.

  2. The No.99 car, sporting the Bowers & Wilkins livery that is traditionally reserved to guests, will be entrusted to Japanese driver Shinichi Katsura. Motors Tv, Maserati’s media partner, will broadcast live race 3 but, in Italy, Sportitalia 2 will provide coverage for race 1 and race 3. As ever, Radio Monte Carlo will continue to report on the weekend’s action. The www.maseraticorse.com website will be updated throughout the weekend with interviews, in-depth reports, videos and photographs.
