Cyberbullying Cases D D • According to an article published in the Sun Herald on September 25, 2013, a 13 T year old Waveland girl was arrested on a felony charge under the state’s cyberbullying law after police found evidence that the young girl used a cellphone to send out indecent pictures of another 13 year old girl against her wishes. . r • The police also arrested the 13 year old girl’s mother on misdemeanor charges (one D count of contributing to the delinquency of a child and contributing to the neglect of a child) that allege that she was aware of the situation and failed to take action to deal with the situation. • According to the article, an unknown person instigated the situation through sextortion.
