What is the PTA? Parent Teachers Association : • A group of parents and staff whose role is to encourage links between home and school • Fundraising & Social Events • Meet 1-2 times per half term plus AGM • Committee consists of chair, vice chair, treasurer, secretary & committee members, but PTA open to all parents, staff and governors. • Always looking for new recruits & new fundraising ideas! • Join us on Facebook @ Friends of Cradoc School (PTA)
How do we raise money … Funds raised through various events • Easter Bingo • Summer Fair • Christmas concert
• Bags to school (clothing collection) • Valentine & Halloween discos • Raffles at various events • 100 club (Application forms on your table!) • Easy fundraising (www.easyfundraising.org.uk)

What do we spend the money on? Traditionally … the ‘extras’ that make learning more fun and exciting. In reality … the ‘essentials’ • Special Needs equipment • Computers • Classroom and playground equipment • Subsidising school trips/buses
How is the money spent? We have bought… • 10 MS Surface i pads (£4,000.00) • Choir Music (£60.90) • Goal Posts (£553.38) • Williams Coaches (£150.00)
How can I be involved in my PTA? • Come join us… • It is time consuming but rewarding • The funds raised benefit all the children at Cradoc school
