  30. JULY 2018: Original Project Bid • One bid • Much higher than anticipated AUGUST 2018: Staff Outlined Four Options: 1. Accept bid as is; 2. Decline the bid and abandon project; 3. Decline the bid and direct staff to rebid the project as is; or 4. Decline the bid and direct F&N to explore the feasibility of using the existing Pumphrey underpass

  31. SEPTEMBER 2018: Council action to proceed with rebid and authorized design of potential alternates utilizing the Pumphrey underpass OCTOBER/NOVEMBER 2018: Reviewed multiple options for Pumphrey underpass

DECEMBER 2018: NCTCOG presented a collaborative approach to completing the trail • Westworth Village to complete the trail portion south of SH 183 • NCTCOG to expedite the proposed at-grade, signaled intersection at Roaring Springs/Pumphrey/SH 183 • NCTCOG to connect to Westworth Village trail and continue north to NAS Fort Worth JRB JANUARY 2019: Council authorized F&N to design concepts for alternates behind the Leonard Oaks Townhomes • Utilized existing utility easement • Moved Roaring Springs crossing to Rogner • Land owner did not want to grant necessary easements Public Hearing conducted at The Westmore

  33. FEBRUARY 2019: Explored feasibility of moving trail along Fairway Dr. MARCH 2019: Onsite meeting with property owner to look at possible alternate routing south of Leonard Trail (park area) Feasibility study directed for moving the routing through the park area

APRIL 2019: Meeting to review feasibility study and concept with property owner, F&N, staff, and leadership Minor modifications to concept and all agreed to pursue this routing with TxDOT • Easements required for this routing (not yet in place) Trail bid awarded ($908,621.25) with 90 day no construction contingency west of Roaring Springs and prepare for a change order through the park area pending TxDOT approval Working Group formed to explore alternates to the Oncor section (NCTCOG Chair)
