Middle Office – Administrative Internship with possibility of full-time permament employement DXT Commodities is looking for young graduates in Business Administration and Economics with an excellent knowledge of English (level C1) to perform the following tasks: Assure accurate deal capture through daily control and reconciliation of trades; Actively manage and negotiate contracts related to commodity trades with Legal&Credit depts; Preparation of documentation for compliance purposes; Preparation of documentation for licenses and registration purposes; Responding to various ad-hoc information requests by other functions of the Company. Professional requirements: A Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Economics with excellent grades; Native Italian language; English proficiency; Previous work experience appreciated but not required; Proficiency knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially excel). Personal requirements: Highly motivated and precise person who is eager to learn new things; Pro-active and reliable person who has the ability to work under pressure; Person with multi-tasking ability; Person that is able to work both autonomously and within a team. Junior IT Support To guarantee IT support across all the departments, DXT Commodities is looking for a fresh graduate or graduand in Software and Data Engineering, with good knowledge of object-oriented programming, preferably in .Net and knowledge of PL/SQL Oracle Database. Goal of the role: Dealing with the IT of the company by supporting the Senior IT technicians. Help the users in utilizing the Softwares; support in the management of company applications. A good knowledge of English is required (minimum level B1). Starting date: ASAP. Working location: Lugano, Canton Ticino (Switzerland). Personal skills: Analytical and problem solving skills; Good communicative and relational skills; Flexibility/ Adaptability. Common mistakes and suggestions • Forgetting about the company/role you have applied for If you receive a call unexpectedly, it is better to take time or to postpone the call. Do not admit you forgot about it because you sent so many cvs you lost track of it. • Not Being concise Try to stick to the point of the questions asked, example: A: tell me about your current situation. Wrong answer B: Ok, so I’ve graduated in economics in 2012 and then I’ve spent one year abroad ,.......B: right answer: I am currently looking for a job opportunity within the administration department of an international company. • Trying randomly to answer to a question you didn’t get It’s better to ask to repeat a question rather than saying the first thing that jumps into your mind. • Not knowing what you want to do If you applied for a role you should be convinced this is the right one you want to apply for. It is ok to have doubts but try not to show them to the interviewer. • Using hesitation phrases Try to not use words or breaks of hesitation such as ehhhm , I really can’t think of anything right now. Try to use propositional answers if you don’t know what to reply. • Appearing disinterested Ask questions or give reasons why you selected our company as your first choice. • Changing your mind The first screening is with HR and the second interview is with the line manager of the needed department. If you state A to HR do not state B to the line manager. Be consistent in your answers. Example of wrong replies : to HR : I’m aiming to find a job within the Administration sector and grow within this department. To the Head of Administration : I’m thinking to start my career in the administration sector and in a few years I’d like to become a trader.
