Process • Monthly downloads of ePACT schedule 2 & 3 Tags • Review of data and highlight queries • Queries reconciled with previous responses • Queries raised in a letter and sent to GP practice • Reminders sent after 10 working days. • Unsatisfactory or no responses received then the escalation process begins. Criteria for raising a query Excessive quantities – Exceeding 30 days supply • Unusual Controlled drugs or quantities prescribed • Non-formulary Controlled drugs prescribed • Controlled drugs intended for short-term • Shared – Care Controlled Drugs e.g. Methadone • Commissioning Quality Care
Controlled Drugs Report 2016/17 Reviewed 8544 Schedule 2 drugs • Reviewed 8012 schedule 3 drugs • 1297 queries had been identified • 174 letter sent to the GP practices • Commissioning Quality Care
