Confined Space Rescue– That’s Where We Come In! Working in confined spaces is risky business that requires organizations to have a rescue plan. START Group provides confined space standby and rescue services designed to keep personnel safe while working in these areas as well as the assurance that in the event of an emergency, personnel will be safely removed. START Group’s confined space standby/rescue teams are comprised of personnel specifically trained in technical rescue and emergency medical services. Most team members currently hold EMT and/or Paramedic certifications and all are practicing or retired fire/rescue personnel from full service fire departments in the Chicagoland area. Confined space standby/rescue services provided by START Group meet both OSHA 1910.146 and NFPA 1670 requirements. These activities and services are tailored to your emergency preparedness needs and include: • Attendant and Entry Supervisor roles • Standby rescue in non ‐ IDLH environments • Standby rescue in IDLH environments As professionals in confined space rescue, START Group personnel have a high level of expertise in OSHA compliance ‐ related areas of confined space entry and non ‐ entry rescue, respirator use, fall protection and prevention, and hazardous materials.
