Reading Books Children will take a reading book home when their individual skills show that they are ready to start learning to read. For many children the first book they take home will be a ‘wordless book.’ These help children develop their book handling and story making skills.
Reading Books Our core reading scheme is Oxford Reading Tree where children meet Biff, Chip, Kipper and Floppy and friends and we also have Collins Phonic Reading Books. Our books are a mixture of fiction and non fiction. Our books have been ‘Book Banded’ so there will be a coloured sticker that shows the level of each book.
Coffee Time Please now help yourself to tea or coffee and explore the resources around the room. We will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. Thank you for coming!
