HUMAN RIGHTS : ONE ARTICLE / ONE FILM October 2019 |May 2020 First competition for short fiction about the Human Rights The Organization “ France fraternités ” and the EMC Cinema School are putting together t he first competition for short fiction about the Human Rights. The UDHR has been written 70 years ago. Nevertheless, the values it carries are as vivid and modern as ever. Still today, the 30 articles of the UDHR represent as many scenarios possible. This competition has the ambition to bring the 18/25-year-old generation to introduce those articles in a contemporary story. Fictions, cartoons, poetic or documentary essays; all films submitted must have a maximum duration of 4 minutes and have to be produced between January 2019 and November 2019. This European competition is open to all major European schools and higher education institutions. Schools, Establishments and Institutions can apply. Students can also apply individually. FILMS PRESENTATION and Awards Ceremony will be held by a Jury bringing together major humanitarian actors, and audiovisual professionals. This Awards Ceremony will be a very special evening event. Its main aim is to strengthen the social cohesion and create solidarity dynamics throughout France. Through its various actions, “ France fraternités ” likes to defend and disseminate the Republican values such as Fraternity, Republican Solidarity as well as the principles of secularism. Those values teach us all how to better live together within society. https://france-fraternites.org/ EMC, for 27 years, has been educating future film and television technicians (Directors of Photography, Film Directors, Fake Editors, Sound Engineers and Production Managers). All EMC students benefit from a special status, as they alternate 2 weeks working in a company and 2 weeks studying at school, all year long. EMC school is very committed to solidarity values. The school often invites its students to brainstorm about solidarity’s principles and self -commitment in nowadays society. The DILCRAH , Inter-Ministerial Delegation to the Fight Against Racism, Anti-Semitism and Anti-LGBT Hate. This Inter-Ministerial Delegation is under the direct authority of the French Prime Minister since 2014. This delegation is in charge of designing, coordinating and animating state policy in the fight against racism, anti-Semitism and anti-LGBT hatred.
