Within each school, 2-4 Teacher Leaders will be recognized as Innovation Classroom Teachers. *Please note that Innovation Classroom Teachers are not Trailblazers! This is a separate pilot program during the second semester!
TLC Instructional Coaches • Support job-embedded professional development through collaborative and individual learning cycles • Engage in co-planning, modeling, and co-teaching lessons; as well as observing, providing feedback, and coaching classroom instruction • Support implementation of district initiatives directed at strengthening core instruction • Utilize the common language of effective teaching practices articulated in the Instructional Framework
T echnology Integration Coaches • Support job-embedded professional development through collaborative and individual learning cycles • Engage in co-planning, modeling, and co-teaching lessons; as well as observing, providing feedback, and coaching classroom instruction • Strengthen core instruction through the integration of technology into – Whole group instruction – Personalized learning experiences • Utilize the common language of effective teaching practices articulated in the Instructional Framework

Structured Role of TLC Coaches • Must be able to clearly demonstrate value to all district stakeholders • By structuring their time, we will be able to better focus on activities directly related to teaching and learning • TLC stipulates an annual review of assignment that will be facilitated through the use of ‘end of cycle surveys’
Learning Cycles • Provide a structure for gradually releasing teachers to learn new skills independently – Collaborative learning cycles – Individual learning cycles • Include development of coaching plans, goals, and measures of success • More information coming soon…via webinars in January

Hiring Steps (cont’d) If you are a current teacher or an existing coach applying for the NEW TLC Coordinator, TLC Instructional Coach, Induction Coach or Technology Integration Coach positions the next step in the selection process will be an interview. This will include a question and answer segment and a coaching segment. If applying for Technology Integration Coach it will be a technology based coaching session.
