Consultation Submission Summary � The emerging preferred route for the Swords to City Centre Core Bus Corridor was consulted over an eleven week period (14 th November 2018 to the 29 th March 2019). � A total of 767 submissions were received and logged for the scheme.
Consultation Submission Summary The issues raised in each submission were entered and categorised in a database by geographical section and by theme. Section 1 – Pinnock Hill Junction to Airport Roundabout - Swords Road Section 2 – Airport Junction to Coolock Lane Junction – Swords Road Section 3 – Coolock Lane Junction to Omni Park Shopping Centre Entrance – Swords Road Section 4 – Omni Park Shopping Centre Entrance to Shantalla Road Junction – Swords Road Section 5 – Shantalla Road Junction to Blessington Street – Swords Road Section 6 – North Frederick Street and Gardiner Street

Issues raised on the One-way system in Santry • Traffic volumes and congestion along Coolock Lane and the N1/M50 junction. • Through traffic using adjoining residential areas. • Impacts on commercial deliveries and local businesses along the Swords road. • Impacts on access to local community amenities.
Concerns on the Two-way Option in Santry • Property Impacts. • Loss of On-street parking. • Impact on privacy of residents and loss of the “village feel”.
Addressing Issues – Property Impacts • Two way Option affects significant number of properties • Design development seeking to reduce level of impact • Of the feedback received from 43 households along the Swords road: • 58% favoured the Two way Option. • 12% favoured the one way Option. • 30% did not state a preference.
