Feature Focus = Easy for Kids to Use & Understand ● Minimal: text & scrolling ● Appealing aesthetics to children ● Straight forward navigation ● Live TV and recorded shows on the same screen for children ● Recording controls for parents ● Live TV: See what is on all children’s channels at once ● Recorded Shows: Easy to add new, edit, and view recording
Heuristic Evaluation Results ● We didn’t have a back button ● We didn’t have a power button ● Had button that didn’t lead anywhere ● Inconsistent style ● Recording controls had radio buttons that didn’t make sense
