Approvals & Projects Reject Emplacement Area III As detailed in previous meetings a number of approvals have been sought to allow physical works on the site. • The modification to DA consent has been approved by Lithgow City Council, • Amended MOP approved by the DPE, • The Prohibition Notice (s240) has been lifted. • The Final Notice, a Clean Up Notice actions (Section 93 of the POEO Act) is expected to be lifted in coming weeks. Physical works are now expected to commence during the Q3 2019.

  8. Approvals & Projects Reject Emplacement Area 5 (REA 5) • Clearing works are commencing in the first week of July for the leachate dam, providing a detention basin for sediment capture prior to Stage 1 works. • All soils will be scraped and kept for rehabilitation trials and future rehabilitation of REA 3. The operation of REA 5 is now expected to commence in late 2019.

  9. Approvals & Projects Rehabilitation Trials • Preparation for the Rehabilitation trials are continuing with works proposed early to Mid September. • Trials will test different soil treatments, erosion control measures on REA 2 and REA 4 in preparation of final rehabilitation for REA 3

Approvals & Projects 900 North Area Exploration Program • MOP has been updated to include drilling sites, • Awaiting approval of ESF4 applications from the Resource Regulator, Drilling is now planned to commence in Q1 2020. • The Resource Regulator undertook a unannounced audit at Clarence on 18 th June, as part of a statewide compliance operation. The focus was rehabilitation of exploration sites. Feedback was extremely positive on the rehabilitation works with no issues raised.

  11. Aboriginal Cultural Heritage A number of Aboriginal cultural heritage inspections were undertaken during the period including pre extraction, post extraction and project related inspections including; 800 Area Post Extraction Inspection • C-OS-4 (45-1-2699) and C-IF-2 (45-1-2704) 900 Drill Program Due Diligence Site Inspection • 45-1-0004 - Not impacted by proposed drilling. 900 Area Pre-extraction • 45-1-0003, 45-1-2691, 45-1-0183 and 45-1- 0130. Clarence to Springvale Pipeline project • Entire corridor inspected Clarence to Sawyer’s Swamp

  12. Complaints and Complaint Management No complaints have been received at Clarence during 2019 and only one complaint was received during 2018 which was a related to a truck on Bells lines of Road, not directly attributable to Clarence Colliery’s operations.
