  8. Printer In Ink Cartridges – Submit Request Directly To Campus Support • Email Campus Support with the make/model of the printer and the colors that are needed. Request when very close to being empty. • Campus Support forwards on approval to Julie Valentine. • Printer shared with other Categorical Teachers in the building. Printers are intended for Categorical Teachers to use. • Speech and Language Pathologists serving Categorical Students can connect to print. • Use of color for visual supports and instructional materials. • Print black and white when you can. • Para educators and Teachers should not be printing any materials unless they are for students served in Categorical Classrooms.

For the 2019-2020 School Year, 2 Field Trips Per Classroom, 1 Per Semester • Field Trip Purpose • Special Education is only able to pay for 2 Field Trips for Each • BOE Policy Teacher per school year, 1 each semester • Remember – Students in special education can also participate in Building Field Trips

  13. Use of Privately Owned Vehicles – Policy Under Revision – More Info To Come

  14. School Tours • School provided transportation will not be available for building tours. • Students who receive special education services should be participating in the activities related to school tours that other students without IEPs participate in.

Field Trips – SPED Field Trips Only Scheduled By Special Education Department • Any field trip that Special Education is requested to pay for, must have the “Field Trip/Charter Order Form” Completed. • Julie Valentine has to schedule the Trip 7 days prior to the Trip. • If the form is not received in a timely manner to allow for this, the Trip will not be scheduled.

  17. Field Trip Request Form • Always submit form to particular department who is paying for the trip. • The Department that is paying for the trip is the Department that schedules the trip.

Trend Data • Number of students served in special education is flat. • More students are being served in specialized programs. • Resources will continue to need to be shared between what we call Interrelated and Categorical. • Our Division is working towards an allocation model to provide a more equitable use of resources.

  21. WPS Goals - Increase Graduation Rate • Implement behavior supports through positive climate, building positive relationships, and maintaining behavioral expectations • Increase academic rigor through the implementation of research- based teaching and instructional practices • Reduce academic, behavior and attendance disparity based on gender, race, ethnicity, grade level, economic status, disability and exceptionalities • https://www.usd259.org/Page/16502

  24. Standards Referenced Grading • Will be spending this Fall preparing Elementary Categorical Teachers on the use of. • Currently adopted at the Elementary Level. • Will be expanding to secondary. https://www.usd259.org/grading

CBI in building or out of building • Elementary – CBI only inside building. • Middle – CBI inside or outside of building. • High – CBI inside or outside of building. • Classroom instruction is a priority. • How is CBI a replacement for classroom instruction? Where is the Data? • Don’t forget instructional expectations related to the content areas that are to be taught to all students. • Will be working during the 2019-2020 School Year to refine expectations. • More information to come on CBI Training – SchoolWires Page – Additional email to be sent with CBI Training Document, new BOE Policy, Submission of Copies of Drivers Licenses, Submission of Copies of Vehicle Insurance with minimum coverages.

  27. CBI Mileage Submissions for 2019-2020 • 2019-2020 Microsoft Excel Document for Each Person for all 4 quarters • Submit Electronically to Julie Valentine, Room 304 - AMAC • Ask for confirmation. • Don’t submit it to anyone else. • Follow submission cutoff dates.
