MSc., and the UK PhD. • Consultant for the World Bank, World Health Organisation and World Meteorological Organisation funded my tenure as external examiner at the University of Nairobi Welsh Government & Public appointments: • Member Advisory Committee Wales 1997-2001. • Member, Vale Local Health Board 2003-2009. • Member, All Wales Review Panel on Continuing Care 2004-2009. • Member, Environment Protection Advisory Committee Wales, 2002-2008. Africa Partnership Initiative The aim of API is to provide opportunity, through collaboration, to further develop the use of appropriate and relevant technology and community resources as a basis to promote and develop projects with Africa. Primary School in Thika • Twinned with Meidrim School , Carmarthen, Mid- Wales. • Feeding program for three months by Prof. Karani & family • Three months by AWEMA. • Meidrim pupils, parents, teachers contributed funds, Books, School Uniforms, shoes, Sports equipment, food etc. • 2 staff from the school visited Wales. • 2 Desk top computers from CSHS. • Increase in the number of pupils admitted to secondary schools .
