WE ARE THE WORLD BUSINESS ORGANIZATION. UN MANDATORY TREATY ON BUSINESS AND HUMAN RIGHTS • ICC does not necessarily see the treaty process as a constructive work flow in addition to the UN Guiding Principles, but we continue to engage with the Intergovernmental Working Group on Business and Human Rights to ensure that the voice of business is taken into account in the drafting process
WE ARE THE WORLD BUSINESS ORGANIZATION. SUPPORT FROM ICC NATIONAL COMMITTEES • ICC National Committees are vital in helping us raise awareness and push for state implementation of the UN Guiding Principles. • Direct contact with government & knowledge of local contexts • Business should be part of the conversation also in the implementation stage • ICC Qatar-supported pre-workshop for first UN Asia Regional Forum on Business and Human Rights • ICC Italy Conference on Business and Human Rights - 7 June 2016
