Burlington for Accessible Sustainable Transit
1. Plains Road Corridor. Increase the service on route 1 to 15-minute headways throughout the day. Express service, rte 101, should be in addition to this.
2. Community Bus. BFAST not convinced that this option is better than improving service across the community to serve seniors better.
3. Orchard-Alton. Introduce Sunday service and extend Saturday service to 10:00 pm (or later) on Walker’s Line and the Orchard and Alton areas.
4. Employment Corridor. Introduce a new route to provide transit service to the employment area bounded by Appleby Line, Harvester Road, Burloak Drive and Mainway, as recommended in Mike Spicer’s memo.
5. Vehicle Acquisition. BFAST supports the acquisition of a 19- passenger cutaway bus and an MV-1 accessible mobility vehicle, as proposed in Mike Spicer’s memo. However, we believe these should be included in the 2013 capital budget.

7. Major routes. Increase service on routes 2, 3 and 10 to 15-minute headways throughout the day on weekdays and Saturdays.
8. Handi-Vans. Purchase additional Handi-Vans to reduce the need for the auxiliary taxi service and the taxi scripts program.
