Our Response to Bullying School Counselors 1. Meeting with the Victim 2. Meeting with the Bully 3. Reports the incident to the Principal 4. Contact with Parents when appropriate
Our Response to Bullying Counselors Respond by: • Providing Instruction to the class • Providing Individual Instruction • Developing a Circle of Friends • Training victims to respond • Offering Social Skills Lessons • Developing a Behavior Plan • Offering Mediation in rare cases • Journaling • Mentoring
Our Response to Bullying Administrators 1. Investigate 2. Meet with the bully 3. Meet with the victim 4. Make a referral to the counselor for support or intervention 5. Conference with parents 6. Inform all team members 7.Disciplinary actions as warranted
