Monthly Newsletter Best Practices  Adhere to set monthly deadline  Subject Line Information (email) • Chapter state and number (at a minimum) • What month article is intended for - EXAMPLE: OH9 July Newsletter  Photos - .jpg format or word • Should always be attachments • Brief description of photos  Submitting created “Chapter Newsletters” • No more than 1 page • PDF documents - do not always come out very clear • Word docs. – most usually okay, but doesn’t always play nice in Publisher Software (Frankenstein syndrome – pieces & parts)

Monthly Newsletter What to submit?  Material should not take up more than 1 page. • Chapter group photos • Photo’s of special functions and events - VA Clinics and Hospitals - Fundraising - With Veterans - Community events - Special awards or recognition  TIP: Statistics prove that “less is more” • Lengthy verbiage with photos are seldom read. • Exception - special article that applies to photo  PLEASE proof your articles and information
