COST ANALYSIS Total proposed referendum – $86,606,691 Projected State Aid over time – approximately 47 per cent – New York State building aid Average Annual Tax Levy Increase over the entire district (all component districts included) - $114 Tax impact will be layered in over a minimum of three to four years NOTE: This total will be reduced by the scope of the work that could be completed under an energy performance contract that would be determined by the RFP that is submitted to and approved by the Board of Education and through a finalized contract between the Board of Education and the approved company.
The referendum will authorize, but not require, the District to issue up to amount of debt of $86,606,691 to fund the list of specified projects. The approved projects will be carried out and financed in phases over a period of three to four years. The District will issue debt to fund the projects at a series of competitive sales over a period of approximately three to four years, ensuring that it secures the lowest possible interest rates. Approximately 47% of the principal and interest on the debt issued to fund the projects will be paid by New York State in the form of state building aid. This percentage will depend upon State approval of the proposed projects.
