  2. Let us Pray: Lord God, Please set forth your mighty arms of strength and protect our Army Soldiers, support them in their day of battle and keep them safe. We commend to your protection and care of those members of the Marine Corps. Guide and direct them in the defense of our Country and in the maintenance of justice amongst our Nation. You stretch out the heavens like a curtain. Watch over and protect the Airmen of our country as they fly on their appointed tasks. You alone spread out the heavens and rule the raging seas. Take into your most gracious protection our country’s Navy. Preserve them from the dangers of the sea and violence of our enemies. Eternal Creator still those raging seas by your word and power, and watch over as we pray for our Coast Guard as they sail upon their missions of vigilant aid. We ask you to sustain these service members for they are our children and we are their Mothers. Grant them each courage and skill and a safe return. Unto you we give all honor and praise. AMEN

  3. 4. There are an estimated 4,200 different religions in the world, and these can be categorized into several main religions. These include Christianity, Roman Catholics, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and Judaism, although Roman Catholic is often categorized under Christianity, it has it’s own. In the United States alone Religion in America is comprised of 9 specific categories, with percentages. Included in this are an estimated 16.1% who hold No Religious persuasion.

  5. RELIGION NOUN the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods.

  6. “ PRAYER Prayer is an invocation or act that seeks to activate a rapport with an object of worship, typically a deity, through deliberate communication. In the narrow sense, the term refers to an act of supplication or intercession directed towards a deity, or a deified ancestor. More generally, prayer can also have the purpose of thanksgiving or praise, and in comparative religion is closely associated with more abstract forms of meditation and with charms or spells. Prayer can take a variety of forms: ” “Prayer is not asking. It is a longing of the soul. It is daily admission of one's weakness. It is better in prayer to have a heart without words than words without a heart.” ― Mahatma Gandhi

  7. Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love, Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light; And where there is sadness, joy. O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console, to be understood as to understand, to be loved, as to love. For it is in giving that we receive, It is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.” ― St. Francis of Assisi

  8. Meals are an important aspect to spending time together as a family. If you are wanting to grow closer to your beliefs, reciting a daily devotion before you eat is just one way to seek blessings and to give your thanks. Here is a great non-denominational prayers for meals you can share. Prayer For what we are about to receive let us be truly thankful …to those who planted the crops …to those who cultivated the fields …to those who gathered the harvest. For what we are about to receive let us be truly thankful to those who prepared it and those who served it. In this festivity let us remember too those who have no festivity those who cannot share this plenty those whose lives are more affected than our own by war, oppression and exploitation those who are hungry, sick and cold In sharing in this meal let us be truly thankful for the good things we have for the warm hospitality and for this good company.

The military represents all aspects of America as does our organization. Our organization holds a deep history, it has been around for over 76 years. The rituals that were established at its conception are still deeply rooted in our rituals of faith today. Prayer is a solemn request for help or an expression of thanks that we address to God or an object of worship. Religion is the belief in or worship of a superhuman power, especially a personal God or Gods. Our prayers are non- denominational which means not limited to any particular religious group. The same as our Political Views through the eyes of our organization are nonsectarian and unsectarian not restricted to one sect or school or party.

  12. At our 2003 National Convention our Convention Body voted to retain prayer within our organization. The opening of our National Conventions as well as our meetings would open and close with a non-denominational prayer and a moment of personal silence, for private reflection.
