Jesus’ First Words (Luke 2:49) “ Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be about my Father’s business ?”

1 Timothy 1:15 ESV “The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost.”
John 20:21 ESV “As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.”
Inauguration of Jesus’ Ministry (Luke 4:16-21) 16 And he [Jesus] came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up. And as was his custom, he went to the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and he stood up to read.
17 And the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written,
18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, 19 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.”
20 And he rolled up the scroll and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on him. 21 And he began to say to them, “Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.”
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because: He has anointed me to proclaim Good News To the poor He has sent me to proclaim Liberty To captives and recovering To the blind sight to set at liberty Those who are oppressed to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor

2 Needs-Based Proclamation of Good News

Matthew 11:5 ESV “ Go and tell John what you hear and see: the blind receive their sight and the lame walk, lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them .”
James 5:14-16 NIV 14 Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.
15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.
16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

Mary had the Holy Spirit to birth something new in and through her, Jesus, the Son of God.
