Using a multi component policy-focused systems approach, it has the power to change the environmental factors or underlying conditions that foster substance abuse and/or other threats to public health and safety. Young Advocates A volunteer group of college students who are concerned about the effect that binge and underage drinking is having on youth in San Diego County. — Young Advocates are currently investigating alcohol marketing on college campuses in San Diego County. ¡ In Spring 2013, Young Advocates conducted assessments on 5 campuses in San Diego County to collect information on the amount and type of alcohol marketing on bulletin boards, in the newspaper and in the bookstores. Changing the face of our community. Advocating for the health of our future.
