We engage, therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk 1 John 4:7-12 Love one another as Christ loved us together in Christian love; 2 Peter 3:18 Knowledge to strive for the advancement of this church in knowledge, Hebrews 12:14-15 Holiness holiness, and comfort; 1 Thessalonians 5:11 Comfort Matthew 18:15-16 Conflict resolution to promote its prosperity and spirituality; to sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline and doctrines; Malachi 3:10 Tithes to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the 2 Corinthians 9:6 Cheerful giver ministry, the expense of the church, the relief of the poor and the spread of the gospel through all nations. COVENANT PRECEPT BIBLICAL REFERENCE We also engage to maintain family and secret devotions; to Mark 16:15 The Great Commission religiously educate our children; Proverbs 22:6 Religious training for children to seek the salvation of our kindred and acquaintances; Ephesians 6:4 Fathers teach children I Timothy 2:1-3 Pray for others to walk circumspectly in the world; to be just in our dealings, Ephesians 4:1-32 Walk in a manner worthy of Christianity faithful in our engagements and exemplary in our Ephesians 5:15 Walk circumspectly deportment; 1 John 2:6 Walk in a Christ-like manner Micah 6:8 Do justice Titus 3:1-2 Avoid gossip and slander to avoid all tattling, backbiting and excessive anger; Ephesians 4:31-32 Avoid anger Ephesians 5:18-19 Avoid drunkenness to abstain from the sale and use of intoxicating drinks as a 1 Timothy5:22-23 Keep yourself pure/drink judiciously beverage; Romans 14:21 Don’t cause others to stumble and to be zealous in our efforts to advance the kingdom of Romans 12:9-16 Christian love our Savior. We further engage to watch over one another in I Peter 3: 8-9 Christian sympathy brotherly love; to remember each other in prayer; to aid each other in sickness and distress; to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and courtesy in speech;
COVENANT PRECEPT BIBLICAL REFERENCE to be slow to take offense, but always ready for Romans 12:17-18 Live at peace reconciliation, and mindful of the rules of our Savior to Luke 17:3b-4 Forgive others secure it without delay. Hebrews 10:25 Be part of a church body We moreover engage that when we remove from this place, we will, as soon as possible, unite with some other church, where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God's Word.
