History Facts: 1. Bangladesh was a part of Indian subcontinent. India, Pakistan and Bangladesh were a country as a whole. 2. British ruled us for about 200 years and transferred the power to India i 1947. But before that they separated the Indian subcontinent into two countries, Pakistan and India. 3. Bangladesh was a part of Pakistan as East Pakistan and now Pakistan was the West Pakistan .

Fun Facts: 1. We do not eat with spoons and forks. We eat with our hands and we think by eating with hand you can enjoy the meal to the fullest. 2. The Bangladeshi people do not laugh much. That does not mean they are not friendly. Excessive laughing considered a sign of immaturity. 3. The kids do not talk with older people keeping eyes on eyes. Because it is a way of showing respect to them. 4. We say ‘Assalamu Alaikum’ to any person we meet, it means may God shower His peace upon you. In reply we say ‘ Walaikum Assalam’ which means may God shower peace upon you too.
