Overview  Reds are on the rise with 8,993 herd recorded cows in 2011 from 7,465 - 2010 & 6,958 – 2009  National Herd Recording Statistics 2011  of 8,993 Reds 91% AI sire 9% Natural sire  of 8 993 Reds 90% are grade and 10% regist  of 8,993 Reds 90% are grade and 10% regist  The Red breed must retain its commercial appeal - most Red growth = AI in grade herds
