  2. An armadillo is like 5.9-9. 8 in. long,5.9-9.0 tall. Brown, and black scales long claws for digging, and a long black tail. The nine-banded armadillo prefers to build burrows in moist soil near the creeks, streams, and arroyos around which it lives.

  3. Armadillos can be found in South Carolina, but mostly in Texas. Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama, lastly Florida. Armadillos can also be found in Nebraska. Only 20 armadillos are found in Latin America. The nine banded armadillos are solitary animals that do not share their burrows with other adults. They are mammals because they are warm blooded creatures. Armadillos eat insects, including, beetles, grub, worms, ants, and other insects. Armadillos love insects.

  4. Armadillos are carnivores because they can find what they need. Armadillos have plenty of predators. They are, coyotes, dogs, black bears, bobcats, cougars, lastly foxes. Armadillos have shells to protect its self.

To protect its self an armadillo balls up in to its shell so it will not get hurt. Over a 12 year period [1992-2003], we examined the impact.
