It is our goal to work together with parents/caregivers/guardians and community partners to support students as they develop Catholic moral values, display ethical conduct and achieve to the best of their ability. Background information: A key component in creating safe, faith filled, caring and accepting schools is a positive school climate. Positive school climates are created when all stakeholders promote and model appropriate prosocial attitudes and behaviours such as caring, empathy, and appropriate interactions. Our schools strive to establish a culture for learning and address incidents of student bullying, harassment, racism, discrimination and violence. The focus is on proactive and responsive interventions and education. School staff support healthy and respectful relationship development and learning for students through high quality teaching and learning on a daily basis. School wide and/or grade level specific presentations may be a component of a school learning improvement target. All organizations/presenters must complete an application form to be reviewed for approval by the school division. Once approved, the organization/presenter will be added to the pre-approved list for GSCS school communities to refer to if interested in providing their community with a specific presentation.
