What we wanted to achieve Demonstrate capability and power of ACADEMIC NETWORKING • Test capability of HSN to work on long distances using existing Internet connections ( shared IP networks ) as NRENs, GEANT, INTERNET2, SINET3, etc. • Test capability to work on long distances using E2E via NRENs, GLIF, etc. Demonstrate utilization of high speed networking in advanced applications In MEDICAL field it creates superior environment for: transfer of knowledge • experience sharing • exchange operational techniques, etc . • Focused on special applications: Movie industry, Virtual Reality (Cave), etc.
