We had contracts renewed & won • Child Development Services (CDS): Speech Pathology to 138 children, Physiotherapy contract ended in May 2019 • Department of Communities (DoC), WA NDIS & NDIA NDIS: Early Childhood Intervention & School Age Therapy Services • WA Country Health Services (WACHS): Speech Pathology, Clinical Psychology and Occupational Therapy to 132 children • Great Southern Development Commission (GSDC): Cranbrook Frankland Speech Pathology Project extended www.kidsarekids.org.au

The transition to NDIS Kids Are Kids! remained competitive in the NDIS environment “We had offers from many bigger NGO’s for us to merge with them, as there seemed to be a consensus that smaller organisations like Kids Are Kids! would not survive the changes. However, our leadership team was optimistic about the future and this positivity was well founded. With a level playing field, and on the back of our strong reputation for family focused therapy; Kids Are Kids has become a self sufficient, well organized and secure provider of allied health services to children and families. Importantly, our founding principles have stood the test of time. We continue to provide a holistic service in a caring environment, for the whole family. Our original goals continue; allied health services under the one roof, staff who listen, a high level of empathy and the desire to make a positive difference”.   7. Program Performance • Department of Communities and WA NDIS: Transition to NDIS increased demand for services and we increased clinical staff by 8. External Quality Audit undertaken in May 2019 with excellent results • WA Country Health: Consumer evaluation gave positive feedback for Northam WACHS CP clinics and service valued by stakeholders through all regions www.kidsarekids.org.au

  8. Program Performance • CDS Speech Pathology: Services increased this year. Performed well against KPI’s compared to other external providers • Autism Diagnostic Panel Assessment Program: Department of Communities and Child Development Services contracts extended www.kidsarekids.org.au

  9. Program Performance • Kids Are Kids! Great Southern: Speech and Occupational Therapy services provided to families at Mt Barker and Cranbrook - Frankland Schools and the wider community • Fee-For-Service: Continues to provide individualised and multi-disciplinary services to clients and their families. Demand continues to be high for these services www.kidsarekids.org.au

  10. The Xploration Hub An incredible state of the art resource that is being utilised continually as a tool for improved therapy outcomes. The Xploration Hub was accessed regularly across the year for therapy sessions by Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Clinical Psychologists and their families. www.kidsarekids.org.au

  18. Therapy in groups made a difference “This past year has seen groups continue to evolve and gain further momentum. We have continued to receive positive feedback about our Circle of Security Parenting Program.   19. We awarded Scholarships Thanks to the wonderful generosity of The Accounting Department, Northern Trust and APEX Perth we were able to offer a total of $27,000 of therapy scholarships. Scholarships were offered to 10 very worthy families so that their children could access much needed therapy to address their goals and priorities to improve their children’s lives. www.kidsarekids.org.au

We raised funds through grants: • Perpetual IMPACT Philanthropic Program , funds for ActiveAte, a new group program for children with ASD • Department of Communities: WA Sector Transition Grant, assisting with implementation of new client management system and new policy development • Great Southern Development Senior Speech Pathologist, Alisha Dufty Commission, Speech Pathology in session at Mt Barker Assessment & Intervention to the local community in the Cranbrook and Frankland regions www.kidsarekids.org.au

  22. We raised funds through grants: • Honda Foundation Heroes: A vehicle for 12 months assisting to reduce transport costs • 121 Inc. and ALCOA PEACH: Funded the lite-gait treadmill which is assisting children with significant gross motor delays or disabilities • Federal Government: Volunteers Grant www.kidsarekids.org.au

  23. We raised funds through events: Fundraising Initiatives: • Kids Are Kids! 21 st Birthday Gala Dinner • Kids Are Kids! Quiz Night • Grill’d Local Matters Program • Cadbury Easter Chocolate Drive • Entertainment Books • Family Christmas Picnic Sausage Sizzle www.kidsarekids.org.au

Our commitment to quality continues The financial results for the year reflect another year of significant growth for Kids Are Kids!, with the organisation expanding to provide services to a record number of families.
