In-State Planning HUB AND SPOKE SHELTERS • Hubs/ Processing Centers in mid-sized cities across the state. • 15-20 Hub/ Processing Centers for 15- 20 thousand evacuees. • Hub/ Processing Centers provide emergency rations and emergency medical care services would assess the need for shelter – short-term (72 hours) – mid- term (up to 14 days).

Regional Collaboration The regional planning group will coordinate evacuation planning for jurisdictions throughout the region. Principal areas of activity will be: development of a communications plan; coordination of evacuation routes; establishment of near- and mid-term sheltering plans; and collaboration on critical resource planning and allocation.
