  9.  An endorsement consists of at least four courses in a pathway (area of interest).  There are five pathways  Business and Industry  STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math  Public Service  Arts and Humanities  Multi-Disciplinary (4 years of Math, Science, English, and History)

  10.  The legislation created this graduation plan with endorsements to help students decide a career path.  Earn certifications to begin work straight out of high school  Investigate interests to help decide a college major  Save parents and students $$  Students can have multiple endorsements  Selecting an endorsement should be a stress free process

  12.  Colleges do not look at what endorsement students earned!  Colleges want to see four years of English, Math, Science, and Social Studies.  Colleges want to see that students took rigorous classes and did well in them.  Advanced math and lab sciences help students prepare for college.

  13.  To help students and parents plan out high school, a four year plan is required when the student first takes classes for high school credit.  This is just a plan - it can and will change.  It should be completed based on the students current interests.  You can change your endorsement.  We will help you figure it all out!

  14.  On the course selection sheet, put in all the core classes first  Add in the Electives  Add 4 Alternates  The APG, or Academic Planning Guide, lists all the available courses.  You will receive handouts during registration that simplify your choices.

  20.  After the initial Course Selection process:  Master schedule will be built (in March)  Students will go into Skyward (in April) and request the schedule of their classes (not guaranteed due to circumstances beyond our control).  Verification – May  Schedules in May  No schedule changes after May 31, 2018.
