Clemson University Alpha Delta Pi
Organization + Chapter History Originally called the Adelphean Society, Alpha Delta Pi is the first secret society for women in the world and forged the way for women in the fraternity system. We were founded in 1851 at Wesleyan Female College - the first college in the world chartered to grant degrees to women. Our Founder, Eugenia Tucker Fitzgerald, was just 16 years old when she left for college and recognized the importance of women coming together for personal development and improvement. Clemson University’s Zeta Nu chapter was founded in 1986 .
Philanthropy + Service Since 1979, Alpha Delta Pi has been committed to serving Ronald McDonald House Charities . Over the course of our partnership, Alpha Delta Pi has contributed more than $8.9 million to this worthwhile cause. Our chapter is lucky to have a Ronald McDonald House located close to campus. We take frequent trips to the house in Greenville, SC to prepare meals for families staying there. We also raise money throughout the year at our fall Pi Spike sand volleyball tournament and spring JLF Memorial Golf Tournament .

We are proud to have maintained the highest Panhellenic GPA for the last two years, and most recently were recognized for the highest all-Greek GPA for Spring 2020 .
