Cost Impact Consequence on system design and involved system components: • SWAL 3 level or even SWAL 2 ? • How fits OpenSource into that concept? Keep in mind that the requirements of handling aeronautical data are more complex than those of several other domains. Prominent example is the modelling of temporality. COMMISSION REGULATION (EU) No 73/2010 Chapter II, Article 5: 1. The parties referred to in Article 2(2) shall ensure that the aeronautical data and aeronautical information referred to in the second subparagraph of Article 2(1) are transferred between themselves by direct electronic connection. 2. Air navigation service providers shall ensure that the aeronautical data and aeronautical information referred to in the second subparagraph of Article 2(1) are transferred between themselves in accordance with the data exchange format requirements laid down in Annex II.
