Licensing Application • Performances in the Town Square and including licence to sell Alcohol on the “Premises” JHG now a Personal Licence Holder • Currently there are 8 locations for “Off - Sales” : M&S, Broadway Smarket, Post Office, Iceland, Tesco, Mill Hill Wines, Broadway News, Rota Express. • (Selling in small bottles clearly for drinking in the street!) • Restaurants 13 : Mill & Brew, Koi, Bluebells, Kiyoto, Baw, Prezzo, Brewed Eatery, Hudsons , Pizza Express, Bob’s Café, (Leyla) Mill Hill Tandoori, El Vaquero • Hairdressers: Stag & the new one where My Living was, are applying • Licensing Sub-Committee set for 29 May 2019

OBJECTIONS • Frequency & lateness of events • Noise – “24/7” • Focused on Selling Alcohol & suspected Anti-Social behaviour directly resulting! • Safeguarding – No Photos! (but no law prohibits!) • “Everyone must be DBS checked” – only if working with Underage and Vulnerable • Litter Plan should be in place for the Square & “adjoining roads” • Increase in Rodents! • Public Accounts – we show at AGM! • “Do it on my road” – “Thoughtlessness” - Apparently I live in Mill Hill East? • “Pavements are already dangerous trip hazard” • Increase in theft & petty crime. “I would not feel safe to leave the street with a late night bar at the end of my road” • “A prominent member of a number of Mill Hill social media & entertainment sites has a history………”
Constitution • 3.18 Members may be excluded from continuing their membership of the Forum or from acting on the Forum Committee or Topic Groups for conduct and behaviour that is disruptive and/or does not promote the aims and objectives of the group. • Exclusion of members will be by a majority vote of the Forum Committee. • 3.19 The Forum Committee shall not be affiliated to any political party, but will welcome the involvement of ward councillors as community representatives.
