River chart datum is a sloping surface ≈ slope of river Surface at low stage. - Daily mean water level should “never” fall more than 0.2 m below the chart - datum during the navigation season. Dynamic River Chart Datum for River Nile Using Satellite Altimtery - Use of satellite altimetry data to bridge the gap in monitoring river Nile water level ( technical, political and economic constraints). - Develop a new, rigorous and sustainable dynamic river chart datum using recent satellite altimetry data in presence of scarce water-level gauge.
