AFPUB-2012-V4-002-DRAFT-01 ● Proposal is to include TLDs into this definition ● Specifically: 1.All ccTLDs for countries in the AfriNIC service region 2.Any new TLDs that are based in Africa by at least one of Sponsor or Technical POC 3.(None of 2. exist yet)
AFPUB-2012-V4-002-DRAFT-01 ● Editorial changes posted November 19 th on rpd@ ● Missed to send to policy-submission@afrinic.net sent on Nov 26 ● Are they small enough ? ● Did anyone not have enough time to read?
AFPUB-2012-V4-002-DRAFT-01 "Core DNS service provider: A core DNS service provider is a company who provides DNS service for the root level of the DNS tree (ICANN-sanctioned root operators)." Replaced by: "Core DNS service provider: A core DNS service provider is an organisation based in the AfriNIC Service Region that provides DNS service for any TLD. Up to two (2) assignments can be made for any TLD service. Assignments are also made to support deployment of infrastructure supporting ICANN-sanctioned root operators."
AFPUB-2012-V4-002-DRAFT-01 Possible improvement: First mention of “TLD” → “Top Level Domain (TLD)” ??
