  11. AQY – technology • Best in class O 3 sensor uses Aeroqual’s gas sensitive semiconductor (GSS) to rival EPA-approved analysers for sensitivity, stability and selectivity • NO 2 sensor combines patented algorithms with our proprietary O 3 sensor to eliminate cross interferences common to other sensor technologies • Automatic baseline correction (ABC) modulates between sample and zero flow conditions to remove diurnal and seasonal temperature and humidity effects • Light-scattering optical particle sensor combined with algorithms for humidity and temperature compensation • 1 part-per-billion (ppb) detection of O 3 and NO 2 with R 2 correlation 0.98 and 0.82 respectively in head to head tests with U.S. EPA reference methods • Measures and reports data in 1 minute intervals with user selectable averaging • On-board PC can store 5+ years data , plus Wi-Fi, or 3G/4G connectivity

  12. AQY vs other low cost monitors • Proprietary ozone sensor technology that is best in class – nearly all other ozone sensors on the market are cross sensitive to nitrogen dioxide • Patented technique for removing ozone cross interference on the electrochemical NO 2 sensor (all NO 2 sensors on the market are cross sensitive to ozone) • All measurement is done on the AQY device – many other devices rely on data processing in the cloud before outputting a measurement • More than 5 years’ data storage on the device, allowing for fail -safe back-up • Aeroqual Cloud is used for data acquisition and display and remote diagnostics. Software is bundled with the instrument providing a complete product package. • Product is backed by a decade of field experience deploying and supporting sensor-based instruments in a wide range of outdoor ambient applications

  13. AQY – software Manage data, instruments and Aeroqual Connect and Cloud are Set up your FTP, SMS/email alerts, easy to use and keep your data calibration and service for single diagnostics conveniently from secure via 256-bit SSL encryption instruments or networks anywhere in the world Plot and download data in real- Advanced charts features network Use the wind and pollution rose time or historical sets by user view and lets you combine data charts in Aeroqual Plus to present selectable averaging periods sets and annotate for reports professional AQ reports

  14. AQY – data traceability Optional field calibration is performed by co-locating Factory calibration is NIST traceable to Standard Reference Materials (SRM) including certified the AQY with a FRM/FEM monitoring station and calibration gas mixtures and NATA accredited applying a gain or offset to the AQY in the calibration sources configuration software

  15. AQY – support Purchase of an instrument from From our support centre in Auckland, Aeroqual has an authorised service Aeroqual is the start of an ongoing New Zealand we can monitor centre near you, currently serving our relationship that connects you 24/7 instrument health, advise, diagnose, clients in more than 50 countries wherever you are schedule service

  16. Los Angeles AQY network • 100 AQY devices deployed across Los Angeles in partnership with South Coast Air Quality Management District. • First 25 units have been operational since Dec 2017, network complete by March 2018. • A richer picture is emerging of PM 2.5 , O 3 , and NO 2 patterns in the region.

  17. Colocation test: Los Angeles • AQY units measuring O 3 , NO 2 and PM 2.5 were installed at the South Coast Air Quality Management District’s Rubidoux air monitoring station. • AQY data compared to data from the station’s USEPA Federal Reference Method (FRM) and Federal Equivalent Method (FEM) instruments over a 5 months
