Reminder • The contract with GIS Inc. expired on 8/31 and could not be extended (time and materials contracts can only run 2 years) For the 3 rd straight year, NHTSA provided • funding, but it wasn’t until 10/1/2019 - No work could be done on a new contract until the funding was in place - Funding was in place by 11/1/2019 • New contract was competed on GSA Schedule 70 (small businesses) 4
The New Contract….. • 17 offerors submitted proposals • 2 disqualified by the CO • The incumbent, GIS Inc, was rated best value • Contract was awarded on Thursday 3/26 and the kickoff meeting was held on Monday 3/30 • No change in personnel • Back in business! 5
Getting (re)Started • Virtual onboarding is a challenge, so Justin is working from home on GIS Inc equipment • Texas is priority 1 - Resubmitted last November in a better format - Much less parsing is required - Working with them to resolve some county road naming issues - New partner: Twin Cities 6
Existing Partners are Still Engaged • Announced the new contract on a NSGIC discussion board on 3/30 • Within 48 hours, many existing partners offered updates/new submissions - Arizona - Arkansas - Delaware - Indiana - Massachusetts - New Jersey - New Mexico - New York - North Carolina - Oregon (first submission) - Utah - County consortium from Missouri 7

Work Since August 2019 – Main Effort Preparing full report for submittal to the committee, covering: 1. Review of NAD studies and reports since 2012 2. NAD Scope 3. Workflow Subgroup recommendations 4. NAD capability/content list (28 capabilities) 5. Detailed address content item descriptions 6. Additional tasks for 2020 Submitting report to Steve and Lynda at the end of the week. Goal to submit it to the full subcommittee before the May meeting. 13
