Lucy Vigrass A sneak peek - Submitting Centre Assessment Grade and Rank Order system In development 28 April 2020 1 Presentation Title A rial Bold 7 pt
Introduction You will need to submit your centre assessed grades and rank order to us via the Pearson system, this will be accessible via Edexcel Online . Our best current thinking is that you will be able to download a spreadsheet template with your learner details populated, this will be a good cross check for yourselves of who has been entered to receive an outcome. You will then need to add the grades and rank order offline before uploading back into the Pearson system once complete. You will be able to do this subject by subject. Not all learners or subjects need to be submitted at the same time. We are also looking to provide an online option where you will be able to input the grades and rank order directly into the system against each learner, we'll update you on this once we have more information. This new system is still a work in progress, but we wanted to share details of our system design with you. It will be the same for both general, vocational and technical qualifications. We have run a number of Exams Officers briefings in the past week where the system design was shared, and feedback sought. Please note: The input screens have been mocked up. The process and input screens will be the same regardless of the qualification, only the grade sets will differ. 2 Presentation Title A rial Bold 7 pt
Downloading your centre data You will be able to navigate within the system to a screen where you will be presented with details of your summer qualifications. You will be able to download your templates and see the status of your submissions throughout the process. On selecting a qualification you will see the options to view learners or download a template for inputting grades and rank order. 3 Presentation Title A rial Bold 7 pt
Spreadsheet Upload We’ve designed the system to ensure that the data being submitted meets the criteria outlined by Ofqual, namely that a centre assessment grade and unique rank order is provided for each learner. You do not need to submit all of your learner data at once . Learner detail and orders should not be amended in the file but using usual methods. 4 Presentation Title A rial Bold 7 pt
Data validation If you miss one of these elements, the system will highlight this, so you can go back and complete it. You can do this in your own time and leave it and come back to it if you need to resolve errors or ask questions of other colleagues 5 Presentation Title A rial Bold 7 pt
Direct input An alternative approach, perhaps more useful for small cohorts, is to submit the data via direct input at learner level. We are still developing the system and will share more information and screen grabs as we have them available. Please note: these screen shots are from our developers and do not fully represent what the system will look like. 6 Presentation Title A rial Bold 7 pt
