Mission • To prepare patients and community stakeholders in leading research projects and guiding research efforts that will improve individuals’ quality of life and healthcare decisions. 3
Purpose • Underrepresented individuals should be involved in research to help reduce unfair barriers. • That is where community-based participatory research (CBPR) comes in with an added enhancement for patient researchers 4
