The outcome The Offjce of Student Success is a vital expression of the Marianist mission, serving as a viable resource for families and students to navigate the University of Dayton community. We strive to support all students and families while providing an avenue to access campus resources to ensure success. We provide strong customer service, retention analysis with an emphasis on student engagement.

Outreach to Parents Outreach Student workers called all the parents of fjrst year and sophomore students in Spring 2008, to see how the year has been going and to introduce the Offjce of Student Success as a resource
Call Results First Years Spoke with 512 parents of fjrst year students 455 had no issues and/or were happy 57 had issues that required follow up 7 of the 57 who had issues requiring follow up did not return to UD Sophomores Spoke with 323 parents of sophomore students 297 had no issues/were happy 26 had issues requiring follow up 4 of the 26 who had issues requiring follow up did not return to UD
Outreach to Students: Class of 2009 gives advice to the Class of 2013 “Take advantage of all this University has to offer. Live each day as a new day. You don't want to look back on graduation day wishing you had done anything differently.”-Kristen (Criminal Justice) “Choose a major you like and don't be afraid of changing after your first year. If you are unsure at first go undeclared, then choose.”-Maroun (Computer Engineering Technology) “Call home on Sunday's.”- Michael (Mechanical Engineering) “Keep your dorm doors open; best way to meet new people.”-Kristen (Public Relations/Marketing) “Get to know a diverse group of people. Always smile and say hi, you never know who you will meet.”- James (Communication/Marketing) “Make sure you take your freshmen year seriously, don't decide to slack off in the beginning because you will regret it in the end.”-LaTorie (Industrial Engineering) Remember who you are. Don't get lost in the crowd. Never give up. Work hard. And thank your parents for providing you with this education.
