Management Information System Method for J ‐ Wise to communicate with ACIS and/or other adult criminal record information system Limited view J ‐ Wise access to determine whether youths should be processed in the juvenile or adult system and to assist with case processing Expand J ‐ Wise access to include legal assistants 6
Dispositional Alternatives North Carolina General Statute § 7B ‐ 2506 The court exercising jurisdiction over a juvenile who has been adjudicated delinquent may use the following alternatives in accordance with the dispositional structure set forth in G.S. 7B ‐ 2508: In the case of any juvenile who needs more adequate care or supervision or who needs placement, the judge may: Require the juvenile be supervised in the juvenile’s own home Place the juvenile in the custody of a parent, guardian, custodian, etc. Place the juvenile in the custody of the department of social services 7
