Education in the Tremendous 22nd District • Expectations for Lodge Education Officers • A minimum of (10) educational programs provided to your Lodge • Must be recorded in the minutes! • Each candidate must have a qualified mentor • Encourage attendance at activities made available for the purpose of furthering Masonic education and experiencing fraternal brotherhood. • 22 nd District Education Award (new for 2020) • Educational presentations, both “More Light” and Lodge programs • On-line code courses • Royal Scofield • Leadership Meetings • Today – July 31, 2020
Lodge Expectations
Lodge Expectations 1. The lodge must be able to make masons – this should be their primary job. It means they must be able to initiate good men and true into the three degrees in proper form. 2. The lodge must care for distressed Master Masons, their widows and orphans.
Lodge Expectations 3. The lodge must elect officers and establish policies and procedures for its own operations, in accordance with the Uniform Code of Bylaws. The lodge must also adhere to the Grand Lodge Code and requirements. 4. With the exception of lodge education, which is a requirement, the lodge may and should do other programs and services to improve the fraternal life of its members and promote their welfare and happiness. Please note that with the exception of education, they should, not must do other things.
Lodge Expectations 5. The lodge may and should be a good corporate citizen and an anchor of stability and prosperity in the community – through activities and services, through property improvements, and through participation in community life. Please note that they should, not must. Finally, we trust that you will set an example for of "who best can work and best agree."
