GSOC Girl Program • We have launched our Girl Scouts At Home page: • Free for K-12 girls – membership not required • Activities for every level – Daisy through Ambassador • Local Patches and Awards- including our new Girl Scout Creativity at Home Patch • GS Highest Awards • Global Action Award • GSUSA is releasing many new resources; we’ll connect you to them as they become available.

Volunteer Services and Support • Our staff is here for you - your Troop Support Specialist can be reached by email. • Volunteer Training is available online – see the event calendar on our website; webinars and other distance learning options available. • Our team is working hard to convert more trainings to online. • The Troop Support Team is reviewing the Service Unit Honor Award to make accommodations for Service Units during this time. More information will be available soon.
Finances • Thank you for an amazing Cookie Program! Final results will be announced soon. • Financially, we are fully able to operate; our staff is being paid, and we are working from home to serve our membership. • If any member needs financial assistance for Girl Scouts, we’re here to work through those requests. Contact your Troop Support Specialist.
Future • Currently, we are planning for Resident Camp to run as planned; however, this could change if there are changes to national and local government and health guidelines. • We are assessing all scheduled events and will continue to follow national and local government and health recommendations. • Our Cookie Program Recognition Events are being rescheduled. Girls will receive all rewards earned or equivalent substitutions. • Our membership growth has stalled; we are working on ways to engage members.
Annual “Meeting” • Thank you for working with your delegates who electronically voted. The slates have passed. • Our Board of Directors and Board Development Committee will continue to meet virtually for now. • Our National Delegates will begin to meet virtually and become well- educated on the issues, as we strive to represent all GSOC member. • There will be regional Strategy Cafés around the National Council Session issues. Our Troop Support Specialists will work with you and our delegates to coordinate.
National Council Session
Deadline Extensions • Highest Awards To provide flexibility for Girl Scout Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors earning Girl Scouts’ Highest Awards, Girl Scouts is offering a special deadline extension to December 31, 2020 and will continue to reassess over the next few months. See Highest Awards COVID-19 Guidelines to learn more. • Cookie Dough, OC Bucks & Juliette Dollars All Cookie Dough, OC Bucks, and Juliette Dollars with the expiration date of April 30, 2020 will be extended to December 31, 2020. Girls can use their certificates for events and activities that have been postponed, to pay for Day Camp, Council Service Fee, Service Unit & Council Events or redeem to their Troop using the Cookie Dough Reimbursement form .
