WE HAVE GREAT MUSIC BUT NEED MORE AUDIENCE • There are too many conflicts with other events, despite our attention to this when we create our schedule. • Our core audience is aging. ORCMA needs to create a new audience. • Children get in free, and young adults receive a discount. I see more kids … • Eternal debate — should we change programming? More pops, jazz, folk? • Collaboration helps, especially with Sound Company
FINANCIALLY, ORCMA IS SOUND • This is due to generous bequests from previous ORCMA members. • Generous donations from current ORCMA members. • But current income and yearly donations still leave us with a shortfall of $20 – 30 thousand, which we take out of our invested money. • Luckily the stock market has been good to us this year… • Please leave a bequest to ORCMA in your will. • Donate to ORCMA tax free from your IRA distribution. • Funnel donations through the Arts Council with an ORCMA designation.
PERSONNEL CHANGES THIS YEAR • ORCMA is fortunate to have a new, enthusiastic, talented, and capable Executive Director Lisa Muci Eckhoff. • We hired Scott Eddlemon to be both Personnel Manager and Concert Manager • Frank Plasil, who was President of ORCMA for some time, swapped jobs with Jim Rome, who was Vice-President
