The Farming System 1924 . . . “Still, I do not feel that the farming system we have established is the result of any inventive genius – it is the result of stark necessity. We did it to meet a question of supply and demand of young ballplayers” Branch Rickey Branch Rickey was a baseball player, manager, and executive who was the driving force behind two of the most important changes in baseball in the 20th Century: the development of the farm system and the end of baseball's color line. Rickey was named to the baseball Hall of Fame for his accomplishments. His brother Frank Rickey was a scout for many years and his grandson Branch Rickey III was a long-time minor league executive

Regional Academy Programs Regional academy programs are designed to support those skilled male and female cricketers, who demonstrate talent and character traits required to succeed, however may not have been selected into State programs. It is crucial to consider that there may be numerous reasons why a skillful cricketer with potential may not be selected. Therefore, it is essential that talented male and female junior cricketers not selected in the State system are still supported by full-time State coaching & talent staff, regional coaches, resources and facilities (in a more limited capacity).
