Building the 2015 Solutions Challenge • We wanted to identify a real-world industry challenge that could potentially face any of our CI-TO Roundtable attendees here today at any time. • So, we established a panel of insurance company CIOs who brainstormed hypothetical situations which could serve as the basis for the challenge. • Thank you to our CIO Panel for their hard work and valuable input: Darby Mary Ellen Ken Wayne Bryan O’Neill Mitchel Freyermuth Umland Fowler VP of IT & Director of IT VP of IT/IS Former CIO VP & CIO CIO Catholic Clements Glatfelter Oregon Princeton Mutual Worldwide Insurance Mutual Insurance Group Insurance The 2015 Executive Education Roundtable Series
Tackling the 2015 Solutions Challenge • Room will divide into four teams of insurers, led by our captains, who will help facilitate proceedings. • A fifth team, made up of sponsor participants, industry influencers and other valued attendees, will also participate, but will not be eligible to win. • Each team will brainstorm an approach to solving the problem, and then develop and deliver an “elevator pitch” of their proposed solution. • The judges will evaluate all four proposals, and at the end, proclaim the overall winner. The goal of this interactive session is to energize the room with a think-on-your feet exercise that provides an opportunity to leverage your skills while being exposed to the thoughts, ideas and approaches of other CI-TOs in pressurized situations. As in the real world, watch out for surprises. Team Captains: 1. Steve Ramsthel, President – CodeObjects 2. Bob Larew, COO – Insurity 3. Andy Scurto, President & CEO – ISCS 4.
